The Organisation:

Our client has been at the heart of the mechanical engineering profession since 1847. They strive to improve the world through engineering by developing engineers, promoting engineering, informing opinion and encouraging innovation.

The IT function is currently going through an exciting period of change and they are reviewing and redeveloping many of their systems. They are moving from various applications, systems and processes to a more integrated solution built on a core architectural environment.

This is being achieved via a number of projects, including building new functionality, refining existing processes and rebuilding existing systems and applications.

Our client is currently looking for a C# .NET Developer to join their growing team for a three month contract and help them to revolutionise our IT function. This contract has the potential to extend.

Please note, this is not an agency contracting role, all contracts will be organised directly with our client. No third parties will be involved.

The Role:

As a C# .NET Developer, you will:

- Be responsible for the on-going development and BAU development support for our client’s proprietary applications

- Work as part of a small team

- Cover a broad range of work

- Discover, analyse and understand our suite of bespoke web applications

- Drive forward application development

About You:

To be considered as a C# .NET Developer, you will need experience of analysing and documenting an existing suite of applications throughout the full cycle.

Expert level knowledge in the following is also key:

- ASP.NET

- MVC

- C#

- Angular 2

- JavaScript

- Azure service bus

- T-SQL

- IIS

You will also need demonstrable skills in systems analysis, technical documentation, requirements capture and SOLID principles.
