Position Title: Database Developer
Status: Contract

Collaborative Planning Group Systems, Inc. (CPGSI) is looking for a part time web developer with 1-5 years of experience for the maintenance and expansion of a custom data collection and reporting application with over 3,000 users across the US. We are seeking someone with experience on both front end (HTML, Javascript, jQuery) and back-end (PHP/mySQL) technologies who is interested in joining a team of entrepreneurs. CPGSI is a dynamic, growing, behavioral health technology company that designs and develops data collection and reporting systems to enhance behavioral health program monitoring and evaluation. We are seeking someone interested in providing ongoing help in supporting and extending the application on a long-term basis.

ROLE:

Phase 1 - Individual will develop an understanding of our business, clients, and application. Phase 1 deliverable is written documentation of existing system.

Phase 2 - 5-15 hours per week to assist in maintaining and extending code. Hours needed may increase over time as company grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learning our company’s business needs and applying this knowledge when designing and testing new products/features

• Handling second level support for customer issues and bug fixes

• Modifying the existing code base to add new features and customizations

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Position requires a minimum of

• Experience with PHP, mySQL, JQuery, AJAX, Google Charts, and database design.

• Ability to work in a structured programming environment instead of writing object oriented code.

• Familiarity with bootstrap and Laravel

• Solid trouble-shooting, bug tracking, and quality assurance methodologies.

• Creative, self-motivated, positive attitude toward tackling software and hardware issues.

• Desire to commit on a long term basis (2-3 years).
