Description of Project
It is a modernisation project at a tier-1 bank, renovating data architecture and building new data storage systems.
The Role
We are looking for a strong DevOps engineer to work on a greenfield project with a leading tier-1 bank. This is a client-facing role, where youll be working with both the consultancy and our clients team of engineers as one cohesive team.
You will get the chance to work extensively with kubernetes on containerisation, data, and observability, with both on-prem and private cloud work.
This role is 80% DevOps and 20% hands-on development.
Essential Technical Experience
Hands-on development experience in at least one object-orientated language e.g. Java/Kotlin, C#, JavaScript, Golang
Strong Kubernetes (OpenShift is a bonus)
Strong Helm
Strong Terraform
Strong Monitoring/Observability experience (Grafana, ELK)
Service Mesh (Ideally Istio, but similar alternatives are fine)
Essential Non-Technical Experience
Good stakeholder management, and communication skills. Youll frequently have to speak with non-engineers, such as project managers, or end-customers team around topics.
Banking domain experience, ideally Investment Banking, but not essential.
