QA Tester (Remote)

We are currently looking for an entry-level Quality Assurance Tester that will ensure we are releasing stable and high quality products. You will be responsible for identifying issues with new and existing features, as well as writing precise and detailed reports, informing prioritization, and verifying fixes of those issues. You should be passionate about understanding how games work and discovering new ways to break them. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and artists to quickly and accurately diagnose problems with our games.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:

This position is for a 20-40 hour weekly contract position for a set time frame. Further details will be explained to hired individuals. Our normal office hours are Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm.

*We are seeking on-site members within the Chicagoland area
Due to the current situation of Social distancing, Remote work possibilities will be evaluated on a case by case basis. The expectation is that you have the ability to be onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Test software for defects ("Bugs") and accurately reports them in the project database

• When a bug has been fixed by the development team, the QA tester verifies that the fix works properly

• Follow procedures for determining content functionality and quality

• Work as part of a team

• Technically proficient with PCs and gaming consoles, including VR

• Google apps knowledge (Calendar, Docs, Drive, Spreadsheets)

• Previous experience as a QA Tester is a plus

• Self-motivation, superior communication skills, and a great team-player attitude

• Proven problem-solving / prototyping ability

• Passion for video games

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, organize priorities and meet deadlines

• Detail-oriented and self-motivated

• Positive attitude with willingness to learn new skills

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $10.00 to $14.00 /hour
