Overview & Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for a Junior Manual QA Tester (Contractor) that will maintain quality standards and attain new heights in terms of efficiency and performance as we continue to grow our business. This is a 3-6-month contract on a W2 (Non-exempt).

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Execute functional and regression tests across multiple platforms
• Test current products and verify bug fixes
• Identify, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Work with cross-functional teams to collaborate and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
• 6-months to 1.5-years of professional Software QA experience
• Prior experience working for a technology-based startup is a plus!
• An understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• The ability to write concise, descriptive and easy to understand bug reports
• Shows initiative and drives topics to resolution with a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with databases, writing SQL queries is a plus!

Hours & Additional Information:

• Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week max
• Work hours: anytime between 8 AM - 6 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch break); 8 paid working hours max per day
• Overtime must be approved by an immediate supervisor in advance
• Estimated Start Date: Between May 30 - June 17, 2019
