Data Scientist (Remote)

Becoming a Data Scientist with Smart DCC:

Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months contract as a Data Scientist with significant remote working options. The Data Scientist will be working within a dynamic Data Science and Analytics team, this role is within a newly created function within DCC. The Data Scientist will be part of a team that have a rapidly evolving remit and will help shape the company's future data strategy for years to come. It is essential to this role that candidates have experience in Omniscope to an expert level.

What you'll be doing:

• Interpretation and visualisation of results - including presentation to executive level audience and industry forums.
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. .
• Subject matter expertise in DCC solution, with a particular focus on how the business and technical functionality is represented within the data.
• Design and creation of new analytics and methodologies, utilising the full DCC toolset.
• Helping define, build and shape the DCC data science function

What we're looking for:

• Extensive experience of Omniscope Evo to an expert Level
• Advanced SQL and R experience
• Complex report creation experience is very important
• Problem solving aptitude is vital to this role
• Ability to bridge between technical and business stakeholder groups, translating needs to actions
• Understanding of GDPR and data security
