Backend Java Developer (100% Remote / 18 mo. contract)
Our Fortune 50 client is seeking Mid to Sr. Backend Java Developers to join a team working on backend development of an enterprise eCommerce site in a cutting-edge Agile/TDD environment.
This is a 100% remote, 18 mo. contract (w/ potential to convert to hire if you're in GA or TX).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of professional Java Development experience
- Spring Boot experience
- NoSQL database experience (Cassandra preferred)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Exposure to GBQ (Google Big Query) or similar Cloud Data Warehouse
- RESTful Web Services
- TDD / Agile
- Cloud experience (GCP preferred)
- ElasticSearch
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate w/ team (Engineering, UX, and Product Mmgt) to create software solutions
- Document, review, and ensure that all quality and change control standards are met
- Write custom code for new feature development
- Write code to do "destructive testing" to ensure adequate resiliency in the prod environment
- Provide application support for software running in production
