Backend Engineer (Remote)

SINSAT is a tech start-up company looking for a front end iOS software engineer to be part of their team, to accomplish mobile application development tasks on the front & back end. He/she will be closely working with the CTO to develop a SAS engine. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a team player and ambitious, driven by long-term success.

SINSAT is a pre-revenue start-up. The successful candidate will be granted a stock option compensation ONLY as the company continues to grow and reach its next milestone. Initially, this will not be a salaried position. This is an opportunity for the right person to get in on the ground floor of the company.

The right person could already be employed initially as we continue to grow. We are open to structuring the work around the right candidate.

MUST HAVE:

- This person must be living in Southern California, even though working remotely at his own schedule, to be able to attend periodic meetings with the team.

- The right candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities:

• Build and develop backend services for a social Mobile App featuring, Live Video, Media Capture, Text Chat, Image exchanges, Location based services, API implementations, Profile sign up sign in & Authentication, databases for website functionality and coding for mobile platforms.

• Create, run & maintain related ServerScripts.
• Work closely with and report to CTO.

Requirements:

• IDE Development, & their Media Editing related Frameworks.
• Proficiency with fundamental backend languages such as NodeJS and JavaScript, REST, Python.
• Proficiency with server side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, APIs
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB.
• Strong interest in Live Video Streaming and Social Apps Architectures.
• Python Server based Development Django and comparable frameworks expertise.

• BS in Computer Science.

Technical Skills:

Domain:   Backend, Server side, Development, Media Photos & Video, Storage, editing on server.

Programming: JavaScript, Java, Node.js, Python, REST.
