Automation Engineer / DR System Orchestration Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Support the automation of Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Develop Application, System, and Database Automation Scripts using Powershell
  • Build VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) DR Plans
  • Verify performance of DR Plans and Automation Scripts through thorough testing
  • Schedule and host meetings to collaborate with client system managers and technical subject matter experts
  • Drive continual improvement of automation processes, framework, and scripts

Requirements:

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and Disaster Recovery technologies and process
  • Powershell
  • Windows Server
  • VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
  • Excellent written and spoken (English language) communication skills
  • Client-facing experience
  • Able to work effectively with a globally-distributed, multi-cultural team
  • Either currently based in the SF Bay Area, able to relocate to SF Bay Area, or has demonstrated success working remotely
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international, weekdays and weekends) as required.
