Working with a fast-paced development function you will primarily be required to work on the company’s Retail Digital Offerings, creating new features and functions. In addition you will be required to maintain and enhance core digital software applications, including digital customer portals.

You will be expected to participate in and contribute to technical design as well as working in an agile environment to create high-quality, robust software solutions under time pressure from project deadlines. Specifically this role entails;

  • Ensure high quality code and technical designs are created
  • Follow all aspects of the SDLC
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the code base by establishing good practices and habits
  • Identify improvements and refactoring of the code base where appropriate/necessary
  • Collaborate with business analyst and business stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications built on Microsoft technologies
  • Assist in the understanding and documenting of user’s requirements
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Follow package and support deployment of releases
  • Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications
  • Analyse and resolve technical and application problems
  • Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering on-time

Essential Skills/Experience

You must be an experienced Microsoft stack .NET developer with at least 5 years of solid experience working extensively in C# and SQL Server, with strong skills in both, WEB API experience and ideally knowledge of using a .NET-based CMS package.

You must be familiar with and be following SOLID design patterns in your development activity and be using a Test Driven Development approach in all your work. You should be a good team player who is comfortable working as part of a small team on multiple parallel activities or projects. Your communications should be clear, concise, accurate and easy for non-technical colleagues to follow.

You will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the interview/selection process, which will involve writing some sample code as well as a verbal knowledge test.


Umbraco experience is also preferred but not essential.
