Our client is a well-known b2b-focused company looking to add a talented Senior API developer to an established team. You'll be working to build out REST/SOAP API integrations in a high-volume transactional environment. eCommerce experience is a plus but not required.
This is a direct-hire role with no contract period, and is 100% remote. Candidates must work EST hours.

Responsibilities of the Senior API Developer
- Build solutions that add new features/functionality for integration services for the in-house commerce platform.
- Develop components/features for the API platform.
- Contribute to roadmaps and design discussions.
- Participate in unit and integration testing as needed.
- Create documentation for APIs that you design and deliver.
- Work to create both REST and SOAP APIs depending on requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the team.
Requirements of the Senior API Developer:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience developing Java in an enterprise setting.
- Experience creating and consuming REST APIs.
- Exposure/Understanding of SOAP APIs
- Comfort working in an agile development environment.
- Experience working with both relational (SQL) and nonrelational (noSQL) databases.
- Bachelor's degree - computer science or related field preferred.
Nice to have, but not required:
- eCommerce experience (Hybris)
