Fully Remote, Outside IR35, Python Developer
We are looking for an experienced Python Programmer ideally from an academic background to work for a leading R&D firm. You will be working with researchers and scientists on a simulator in a 3D environment which is written in CUDA with an Nvidia optics library with the lower end in C/C++ and the higher levels of the stack in python which is accelerated via CUDA and numba .
As one of the only python programmers in the team your work will involve taking care of Gitlab, continuous integration, the test and infrastructure of the simulator at a software-level. Additionally, it would be useful to provide python support to other non-developers in the team who still use python day-to-day.
This is a fully remote position but it would be a big benefit if the python programmer would consider relocation or ad-hoc work at site office. For now and the foreseeable future, everyone is working remotely. This will be a full time, ongoing contract with budget until the end of 2021 and with the likelihood of extension.
Requirements:
MSc or PhD in Computer Science or relevant background
Strong Python programming
Experience in CUDA
Preferably experience in Gitlab,
