Lead Ruby on Rails Developer - London
Senior Ruby-on-Rails full-stack developer required to work as part of an existing team of R-o-R developers to develop digital services in the Public Sector.
We require a Senior Ruby-on-Rails full-stack developer and a technical lead to help us develop build national-wide software services.
These services are currently in different phases of development including private beta.
Our client need help completing outstanding work and developing new features and functionality as part of ongoing service development and iteration.
The tech stack includes: Rails 5.2 running on Ruby 2.4.3;GOV.UK PaaS and Notify, Yarn, Sidekiq, ClamAV. Postgres 9.5, Elasticsearch 6 (on AWS)
Skills and experience Required:
- Demonstrate your experience in developing responsive web applications using Ruby-on-Rails and in line with our tech stack or equivalent
- Demonstrate your experience in supervising junior developers to deliver successful outcomes
- Demonstrate your experience in working with UX design teams to develop prototypes into full production code
- Demonstrate your experience in working with QA testers to follow automated and manual testing regimes to ensure that code is fully tested before live deployment
- Demonstrate your experience in working with CI/CD toolchains to deploy code into live
- Demonstrate your experience in fixing bugs and service issues quickly to minimise user disruption
Ideal candidates will also:
- Demonstrate experience in working with and design services that meet the GDS Digital Service Standard and how this will ensure the successful delivery of this service.
- Demonstrate experience in working with GOV.UK tools e.g. PaaS, Notify
In return our client are offering:
- Up to £500pd for a Senior Developer / £600pd for a technical Lead (Outside of IR35)
- 7 Month initial Contract
- Flexible / Remote working at Managers discretion
