Ideal for an art director or graphic designer who’s passionate about visual storytelling and eager for creative collaboration, this role reports directly to the founder of Eickhof Creative Shop.
The Graphic Designer will receive support from our dedicated Service Manager, who oversees project management and client services. Plus, this will be a minimally client-facing role, so there’s no cat-herding required!
This position is best suited for a visual creative who loves the idea of working for an ethical, mission-driven agency that pays competitive, living wages; helps awesome small- and medium-size businesses punch above their weight; and donates 3% to local nonprofits.
SKILLS
- Eye for clean, modern design that embodies a style, not a trend
- Meticulous attention to detail and proactive thinking
- Ability to create, iterate, and execute designs in a timely manner, while always keeping user experience front and center
- Professionalism when receiving and incorporating feedback
- Understanding of how to protect, preserve, and promote brands through design and design-related research
- Excellent time-management practices, including managing and prioritizing commitments and deadlines effectively
- Outstanding communication habits: early, clearly, well, and often
- Experience using and developing brand guides and referring to style guides
- Solid understanding of requirements for social media graphics
- Mastery of best practices for print vs. digital assets
- Expert-level use of InDesign and Illustrator
- Advanced- or expert-level use of Photoshop and Lightroom
BONUS SKILLS
- Formal training or work experience as a UI/UX designer, especially with wireframing and producing pixel-perfect layouts
- Formal training or work experience with typography
- Experience with Squarespace-based web design
- Familiarity with manipulating basic HTML/CSS code
- Advanced- or expert-level use of Premiere and After Effects
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience
- Graduate-level degree or studies preferred, or Bachelor's degree in related field, or demonstrably equivalent work experience

- Ability to provide own newer-model MacBook Pro laptop, or comparable Mac computer
- Access to reliable internet service with sufficient bandwidth to support timely file transfers and online conferencing
- Current Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps subscription
- Intermediate to advanced user of G Suite apps, with an understanding of Drive sharing permissions and data security

- Draft mockups of website designs, brochures, iconography, and any other marketing materials required
- Collaborate with marketing teams and management to discuss which mockups are effective, and use their feedback to develop final drafts
- Work on multiple projects at once, and consistently meet draft deadlines
