Description:
We are looking for an extraordinary Back End Engineer with a background in large scale engineering support, to join The Health Special Projects team. You will enjoy building services that Data Science and Application developers will leverage to shape exceptional experiences for our customers.
Qualifications:
As a Back End Engineer, you are ready to tackle big problems, enjoy working in an agile and dynamic cross-functional team, love data, and want to make a big impact in health. Some of your characteristics include:
- Experience building highly available and fault tolerant systems.
- Experience with Java and Restful Services.
- 3+ years experience designing and implementing modular, composable services, using state-of-the-art technology stacks.
- 2+ years working on highly available, high-volume, low latency services at scale.
- Experience with software development tools on Linux.
- Proven track record of shipping services in production environments for consumer facing products.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience managing performance, application and security log management.
- Experience working in Agile SCRUM Environment.
- Strong coding experience and capable of picking up new languages.
- Strong analytical thinking to solve challenging problems.
- Works well in and across teams.
- Comfortable with weekly on-call rotation.
- Reliable and responsive to support the team’s needs.
- Nice to have: experience handling Penetration Testing and Secure Applications.
- Nice to have: experience building on Cloud Infrastructure.
Education:
Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
