TV Developer (Remote, Outside IR35)

TV Developer | 100% Remote | £400-500per day | 3-6 Months

My client has an urgent requirement for a TV Developer on an initial 3-6 Month contract. The daily rate on offer is £400-£500p/d (Outside IR35).

The role is 100% remote working.

This opportunity would suit someone who is a self-starter, has years of experience working with Smart TV technology and is comfortable working in a small team. The ideal candidate will be excited about both technology and broadcast industries and enjoy a challenge.

Essential Capabilities & Experience:

• Knowledge of the TV Application Layer (TAL)
• Vanilla JavaScript or React
• Node.js
• HTML-5 media player
• Strong debugging skills using common browser developer tools
• Git

Desired Capabilities & Experience:

• Good knowledge of performance and memory optimisation
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting Smart devices
• Experience in developing apps with a UX optimised for TV (e.g. highlight and select in addition to point and click)
• Understanding of VOD, live streaming, and DRM, as well as experience in the media industry (IPTV, OTT, Connected TV, etc.)
• Experience with TDD
• Practical understanding of MVC and OO concepts
