Contract (or C2H) Senior UX Designer

One of our local clients in the Greater Seattle / Puget Sound Region is looking to hire a Senior UX Designer to join their Experience Design team. As a member of the group, you'll assist in shaping the future of work, making their industry-leading work execution platform valuable, elegant, and engaging. As a Senior UX Designer, you will apply principles of design thinking to conceptualize and create intuitive user experiences for their web-based and mobile applications. You'll also represent the end-user and promote human-centered methodologies across the product team to ensure future designs meet their audiences' needs from first-time users to seasoned experts.

The Experience Design team is comprised of UX Designers + Researchers, Visual Designers, UX Writers, and Customer Experience Architects who genuinely love what they do to improve their customers' experiences. The team's overall goal is centered on creating a sense of inspiration, ownership, and empowerment within their enterprise customers, and setting an exceptionally high bar in the process for User Experience Design.

Your Role + Responsibilities

• Gain an understanding of user needs and goals for a product area and communicate them with diverse product teams.
• Create understanding across product teams to launch new product experiences and evolve existing ones based on an understanding of user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Create task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other interaction design deliverables.
• Conduct usability testing and incorporate user and team feedback.
• Create visually stunning interfaces that make emotional connections with users and communicate the brand.
• Provide assets, specifications, and guidance for implementation of the user interface throughout the development process.
• Rapidly iterate on prototypes and designs to A/B test and experiment on the most effective solutions.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Anywhere from 6-10 years designing exceptional experiences for complex, data-driven web and mobile applications. This is a senior-level position, and as such, a portfolio that shows evidence of complex solution-driven deliverables over time + across a breadth of areas will be required.
• Passion for the field of User Experience. This team works in a collaborative environment, but you're also responsible for your own work and need the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating activities to gather insights on user needs and goals and conducting usability testing.
• Experience with designing simple, elegant, and innovative solutions for complex problems.
• Ability to create and refine user stories for personas.
• Ability to lead the design for a product area.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent visual design skills and sensibilities.
• Expert in Sketch, Axure, Principle, or other visual design, wireframing, and prototyping tools.
• Ability to help teams across the organization, including Product Management and Engineering, gain alignment on the user, business, and technical needs.
• Ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user.
• Degree in Design (Interaction, Product, Communication, HCD, or related) or equivalent experience.

This role is currently a remote-friendly opportunity due to Covid-19 guidance regarding workplace safety and is a potential Contract-to-Hire opportunity for the right individual as determined over the duration of the contract (target contract length will be 3-6 months).
