Senior React Native Mobile Developer (Remote)

We have a client that is looking for a qualified Senior React Native Mobile Developer to join their Engineering team on a contract to hire assignment. The Senior React Native Mobile Developer will lead the revamp of the company's mobile team and mentor junior developers. This is a high visibility position reporting directly into the Chief Technology Officer.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with Product Manager, Creative Designer, and Solution Architect to develop mobile application using React Native
• Use story points to properly estimate development time required to build new features
• Create technical specs and programs for features and functionality
• Plan, write and execute test scripts
• Review code changes for completeness, scalability and adherence to existing patterns
• Analyze features in production using analytic tools
• Promote code reuse and establish coding standards
• Complete emergency support tasks to bring applications back online
• Maintain existing code and build new features to support additional functionality

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proven iOS and Android development experience working with React Native
• Understands and knows how to use React Hooks
• Basic understanding of native code for Android or iOS
• Experience building Native Modules preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of mobile UI design principles, patterns, responsive design and best practices
• Knowledge of distributed version control
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming
• Ability to write clean, understandable, well-documented code
• Passionate about technology and willingness to continually improve skill set
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving abilities
• Self-starter who can handle several work items independently
• Ability to prioritize the tasks and activities
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Results-driven and detail-oriented

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience with full mobile development life cycle.

Salary: $40.00 to $64.00 /hour
