Senior Front-End Developer/Designer
This role is with a Syrinx Healthcare Partner based in Portland, ME
Fully Remote
12+ Month Contract with Possible Conversion, if desired
This role is a 50/50 split between front-end development and UX design.
- Front-end coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
Developer Responsibilites:
· 3+ years of experience developing standards-based websites using valid, semantic markup for structure and CSS for layout
· Detail-oriented work ethic with strong commitment to code quality
· Prior experience in coding for reuse a plus
· Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/Flexbox, SASS/SCSS
· Javascript skills also desirable
· Experience working with Gulp
· Capable of working with Github in a team-based setting
· Talent for debugging HTML, Javascript and CSS layout issues
Designer Responsibilities:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
