Location - Basingstoke - Remote during COVID. Travel to the Basingstoke office 1-2 days a week thereafter
Rates - £395.43 a day via LTD / Umbrella OR £345.26 a day via PAYE

About the role / project:
Manage a new regional Power BI tool for Network Rail. To act as the primary interface between the business and the Business Systems Owner for delivery of appropriate analysis for the project lifecycle. To provide the definition of solutions that aligns with business direction on multiple work-streams. Intentionally, independent of any supplier that may be called upon to deliver the solution.
Responsibilities:
*Manage and develop large amounts of data through the new Power BI tool
*Work collaboratively with the team and executives to pull data from various sources into Power BI
*Specify the information flow and data structures that will meet the functional and non-functional requirements behind a business problem or opportunity that may require an IT solution. Analyse options and provide an unambiguous, complete and consistent requirements specification that conforms to standards.
*Liaise with appropriate business and IT representatives to shape recommended solutions that are consistent with business needs, technical architecture, support infrastructure, policies and standards.
*Assist in the production of high-level project plans and identify, assess and escalate risks and issues, as appropriate.
*Research links and integration to existing IT systems, projects and related business initiatives to optimise efficient use of company resources.
*Work closely with Systems Process Analysts to align with business processes.
*Be involved in lessons learned exercises, as required.

*Strong attention to detail
*Significant business analysis experience in an IT related environment.
*Thorough and up to date understanding of IT consultancy approaches, tools and techniques.
*Strong analytical thinker.
*Business process and data modelling experience.
*Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable
*Senior Stakeholder management experience
*Experience mentoring analysts and knowledge transfer
*Diploma in Business Analysis.
*Good understanding of the GB railway industry
