Packaging Designer (Remote)

UviaUs delivers remarkable experiences for high-value and hard-to-reach audiences. Our solutions leverage communication technology - both digital and tactile - to create genuine one-to-one experiences. We are looking for contractor-based packaging designers to help lighten our load for active projects and future projects.

Candidate Attributes:

Do you want to contribute to affecting real-life outcomes and experiences for major brands? We are looking for contractors and freelancers that we can leverage on an on-going basis as an extension of our in-house creative team.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as an industrial designer, developing consumer packaging or 3D/physical brand experiences.

• A portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity in successful packaging and product design, versatility with design and rapid prototyping tools and methods, and a strong understanding of the design and creative process is required.

• Strong knowledge in materials and manufacturing processes common to the consumer packaging industry

• Strong visual and communication skills through sketching, illustration, and 3D form creation

• Expert with one or more 3D tools (SolidWorks, NX, Rhino, other), advanced surfacing capabilities and high-volume molding techniques a must

• Love packaging and graphic design with an active knowledge of the latest design trends and best practices

• Computer skills: Email, Project Management Software, Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Illustrator and Photoshop

• Amazing creative style and design sensibilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Can do, hustle mentality
