The ICT is based at one site, across two buildings, one of which has dedicated computer laboratories, and comprises six networks of between 5 and 50 servers, between 1 and 30 user-access devices and up to 45 users. (This remains subject to alteration and development.)
Your role as Security Assurance Coordinator (SAC) will be to provide support to the System Managers, project teams using the computer laboratories and the Infrastructure Lead to achieve and retain accreditation.
Additionally you will be responsible for maintaining and writing up-to-date security-related documentation including RMADS, Security Operating Procedures and codes of connection. Provide SAC support to all required current and future ICT systems used by project teams.
Provide the interface between the Accreditor, suppliers, the project team, the information asset owner, and the end user community, ensuring that all aspects of security are delivered throughout the project lifecycle.
The role is focused on the assurance contained in the latest version of Joint Service Publication (JSP) 440:
the 'Defence Manual of Security, Resilience and Business Continuity' in respect of ICT systems which are used for research, development and experimentation purposes.
Consider and coodinate all ICT system security aspects including alterations and additions to accreditation documentation and/or the generation of new documentation for new systems.
Provide advice on security policy covering both policy that is already in place e.g., HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF), Departmental Policy (JSP440), IEC/ISO 27001 controls and the creation of new security-related documents for the project, such as an RMADS), relevant legislation (e.g. Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act), technical solutions, risk management and Information Assurance.
Provide SAC support to deliver:
You shall attend internal organisational System Operating Authority meetings on behalf of the Project Manager, as and when required, and attend or organise and chair security-related meetings on behalf of the Project Manager.
You shall create, update and manage the Security Risk Register and ensure it is reviewed at security meetings.
Experience Required:
Must have a sound technical understanding of relevant security policy and legislation, to include HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF), Departmental Policy (JSP440), IEC/ISO 27001 controls, the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act), technical solutions, risk management and IA.
Pay Rate: £321 - £404 per day pay range, subject to IR35 status
This is a temporary, but possibly long term role.

Anticipated Length of Assignment: All of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis and can sometimes become permanent. This opening assignment is for 12 months.
