What You'll Do:
We are currently seeking a contract E-Commerce UX Designer to work with our team as we build the next iteration of our sports brands’ websites. This position will work with the UI/UX Lead to design our new consumer focused, high converting shopping experience. This contract role is estimated to last through Summer 2021. This person will work remotely for the time being but must have the ability to be in Chicago and travel to France when needed.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Design mobile and desktop creatives for responsive websites
  • Translate brand guidelines across six websites
  • Wireframe intuitive user interfaces
  • Implement color theory, typography, layout, iconography,
  • Create images, graphical UI components, and other assets
  • Prototype web designs and user flows
  • Utilize business and design team feedback and constructive criticism to improve design and skillset
  • Iterate design concepts to continually improve user interface
  • Collaborate with lead UX designer, developers and product owners

What We're Looking For :
We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years’ experience designing web UI interfaces throughout a customer journey from conception to implementation. Previous digital design experience is required, and experience designing e-commerce sites, preferably with Magento or Magento 2, is preferred.

Other qualifications include:
  • Must have a portfolio of original work, demonstrating strong understanding of user experience
  • best practices on desktop and mobile devices
  • Familiarity with current trends, patterns, best practices and techniques in web UI/UX
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Passionate and opinionated about visual design with a strong background in layout
  • Understanding of mobile technologies across different devices and operating systems
  • Proficient in Figma or other web design tools
  • Highly motivated, ability to efficiently work remotely while collaborating with a decentralized, global team
  • Ability to follow and execute under direction within stated deadlines and quick turnarounds when necessary
