AWS Platform Engineer (AWS Cloud/Java/Oracle)

* Market Rates (c£525 per day – outside IR35)
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an AWS platform engineer to join our team. You will help establish the client’s AWS cloud environment, and be a key part of transforming their digital estate. The successful candidate will have strong design, implementation, migration and administration experience with AWS.
*Security Clearance – this role requires candidates with current/recent BPSS clearance and/or the ability to pass basic security checks*
Skills and Experience:
* Experience of AWS technologies and infrastructure, best practices, implementation and support (including involvement in Well Architected Reviews) ideally for large, public-sector organisations
* Practical, hands on experience in the establishment, configuration, development, automation, monitoring, and support of enterprise Cloud services
* Commercial experience in the migration of legacy applications to the AWS Cloud (Java, Oracle Forms and Reports, Oracle Application Server, Oracle APEX, Oracle DB, JBoss)
* Consultancy experience in delivering high quality, practical design documentation for AWS-based services, working effectively in an agile environment (Scrum)
* Experience in the practical application of AWS Native Platform as a Service capabilities to reduce the need for bespoke code, and ensure applications are scalable, reliable and secure
