Hidey-ho, neighbors! Tako Agency (a fast-growing, fully remote agency with a US based leadership team) is looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to join our team! We are devoted to building beautiful, high quality Shopify sites and related custom apps for our clients. We are looking for candidates that can commit to regular full-time (35+ hours per week) or part-time (20-25 hours per week) work, in either the Eastern Standard Timezone (EST) or Pacific Standard Timezone (PST).
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Developing eCommerce sites and custom themes on Shopify, bringing our designs to life in a responsive, intuitive way
- Migrating websites from other eCommerce platforms to Shopify
- Extending Shopify’s functionalities using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
- Integrating third-party apps and, and possibly building custom microservices
- Working with version control systems such as Gitlab
- Handling multiple projects at the same time, sometimes on tight deadlines
- Producing high-quality work with a strong focus on detail
- Thoroughly QA work prior to submission
- Documenting your work in clear, concise language that’s easy to follow and understand
- Working with the project management team and other developers to scope complex projects and custom builds

- Able to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Great attention to detail and organized
- Committed problem solver, who won’t give up at the first sign of a challenge. Our leadership team will happily do our best to give you everything you need to succeed, but we will expect that you do your best to think critically, ask questions (proactively searching for answers on your own first), take notes, and show initiative every step of the way.
