Software Engineer

Role: Software Engineer – Control Systems – C++, Java, VB

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Dependant on experience)

Rate: 30ph

Location: Stoke

An excellent opportunity has arisen within a well-respected industrial system integrator for a Software Engineer.

This role will allow you to work with a diverse group of highly qualified engineers on projects commissioned by some of the largest companies in the world.

The position of a Software Engineer will involve you being involved in all aspects of the systems development lifecycle; specification, design, programme, testing, installation and commissioning.

This will range from configuring multiple instances of existing solutions to developing new solutions.

This will include database configuration, coding, application engineering, hardware interface, system testing and commissioning.

This would include client visits for meetings& surveys and possible overseas travel for training courses and partner integrations.

Essential requirements for Software Engineer

• Good understanding of SCADA, HMI’s and control systems
• Is competent in use of a PC & Management
• Experienced coder in any of the following C++, C#, JAVA, VB
• Desirable Requirements for a Software Engineer:
• Electrical Engineering knowledge
• Knowledge of electrical principles – Power calculations
• Ideally of electrical principles – Power calculations etc.
• GE knowledge or Copa-data Zenon SCADA
