Cana Development is a full-service real estate firm that specializes in placemaking. Since 2008 we have been leaders in the planning, development, leasing and operations of high-profile retail experiences in marketplaces and mixed-use developments (e.g. Mt Vernon Marketplace, Cross Street Market).
We are rapidly expanding, with dozens of projects in different phases of development across the country.
We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to support the Brand Management team on both the corporate and project level. This position reports to the Brand Manager and may collaborate with other members of the CANAdev team, including Project Managers, Marketplace Managers, Leasing and Event & Marketing Managers, as well as creative consultants such as PR agencies.
You will work with our Brand Management team on a wide range of projects:
+ Contribute to, design and develop documents as needed
+ Develop graphics and content for social media, web and email communications
You must be:
+ creative!
+ able to follow direction, but also work well independently
+ able to respond quickly to constructive criticism
+ able to multi-task and set realistic timelines. You will often be tasked with multiple projects simultaneously.
You will contribute to the team in the following areas:
GRAPHIC DESIGN
+ An eye for typography, layout, color
+ Ability to adhere to style guides, brand voices and instructions for specific projects & brands
+ Conceptualize & design marketing materials (print & digital), which may include brochures, presentations and event materials
+ Content creation for web and social
+ Understand different goals and objectives for different deliverables (advertisements, social ads, signage, media kits, leasing flyers, etc.)
You must demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Mac users preferred.
You must be able to submit a portfolio of relevant work samples, demonstrating creative, design and software skills.
Preferred, but not required:
+ Professional experience with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
+ Experience in the hospitality and/or real estate industries
+ Experience working with outside agencies
+ Copywriting experience
+ Event planning experience
+ Experience with Excel
+ Experience with Wordpress and Squarespace
+ Basic knowledge of HTML and SEO
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
Schedule: Approx. 20-40 hours/ month. Days are flexible. Start date is flexible.
