Freelance UX Designer (Remote)

We are looking for a solution oriented Freelance UX Designer to join our team, and spearhead new development initiatives working alongside a talented team of professionals to deliver high-quality, digital applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside design, development and account teams, envisioning and designing layout and storyboards for all digital applications. You will be responsible for every aspect of a system's user experience - the overall flow and layout of the screens, the fields and information presented, the actions and interactions that are provided, and the visualizations of the data. You'll be involved in solving workflow problems, developing new ways of presenting industry data, and figuring out what the client needs in their solution that even they don't realize yet. You will provide overall stylistic guidance while visual designers handle the implementation of the visuals (i.e. colors schemes, fonts, etc.).
  • Work comfortably within a dynamic, challenging environment while understanding the importance of meeting client delivery deadlines
  • Maintain open communications on current project status, risks and challenges
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
  • Deep involvement on sprint / agile teams.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 2+ years of information architecture experience
  • BA or BS in the following: Graphic/Visual Arts, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Sciences, Marketing, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or a related area
  • Knowledge of Information architecture best practices
  • Knowledge of architecture-related software (Adobe XD, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Omnigraffle, MS Office, Acrobat, MS Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of site layout & design; mastery in principles of Web structures (HTML, CSS, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
  • Working knowledge of User Centered Design Principles and Practices
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Solid understanding of mobile user interfaces and how they affect application design
