The Role:

  • Oversee the roll-out of NetSuite across international regions.

  • Conduct business requirement analysis.
  • Workflow mapping.

We require an experienced support engineer to provide additional capacity for our School ICT Support Service.

The candidate will be primarily office-based responding to support tickets but may on occasion be required to provide support onsite in schools. They need to be an excellent communicator as well as having a high level of technical competency and the ability to work quickly and methodically through assigned tasks, following local procedures.

Due to the nature of the service, demand for MIS and Data support is concentrated in school term-time periods. Therefore, the postholder will be required to take the majority of their annual leave during school holiday periods. No periods of more than 3 consecutive days are to be taken during Islington term times, with no leave during the first two weeks of the academic year, except in exceptional circumstances, agreed in advance by the Service Manager.

Duties to include:

  • To respond to ICT technical support requests providing first and second line support for equipment and software, talking ownership of faults through to resolution
  • To install, configure and support hardware and software across common operating systems in use in schools
  • To proactively carry out routine maintenance and updates to ensure ICT is functioning effectively to support teaching, learning, management and administration in each school
  • To use helpdesk software to manage workflow, escalate calls as required within the published local procedures and provide feedback to other members of the team and schools clients, updating calls on a regular basis to ensure that expectations are managed appropriately
  • To build and maintain positive relationships with key staff at all levels within school, ensuring that effective lines of communication are in place
  • Liaise with other third-party suppliers providing ICT services to schools
  • To contribute to the maintenance of accurate records relating to incidents, requests, assets, licenses and other aspects of ICT service management
  • Follow agreed procedures and contribute the maintenance and development of accurate and concise documentation
  • Work as part of the wider Schools’ ICT Support team covering all aspects of ICT in schools
  • To provide relief helpdesk cover as required; responding to calls logged with the School ICT and MIS support helpdesk, categorising and assigning them appropriately colleagues and the application of organisational procedures and systems.

Pay Rate: £15.06 per hour PAYE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solutions Architect to join a public sector organisation and have responsibility for the organisations workflow and CRM platform, providing technical leadership for on-going development of the solutions within that area.

The architect will work with internal and external engineers and analysts, assisting projects and programmes and co-ordinating the technical architecture, design, implementation and BAU transition of solutions, ensures consistency and compliance with relevant architectural principles, policies and standards.

The University are undergoing a network refresh and their wifi and switching estate within the university by 2020.

1.Experience of successful technical leadership, working as an architect on complex projects and programmes.
2.Ability to design complex technical solutions in an inclusive and participatory manner, to negotiate with and influence other design parties (business stakeholders, technical architects, software developers, third party suppliers), to reconcile technical and business considerations in order to arrive at the optimal solution
3.Experience of successfully designing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics for CRM and/or workflow applications.
4.Experience of integrating new solutions into an organisation's existing infrastructure and migrating applications from legacy environments to new solutions.
5.Ability to innovate and think creatively, showing willingness to apply new approaches to solving problems and to learn new methods and technologies.
6.Ability to think analytically, with systematic and logical approach to solving complex problems, and high attention to detail.
7.Experience of working with internal and external suppliers.
8.Experience of identifying and managing risk.
Desirable
  • Experience of implementing Dynamics 365 solutions as part of a wider Office365 deployment.
  • Experience of implementing "cloud" based solutions using IaaS, PaaS and/or SaaS.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and the impact of applications and security requirements on network design.
  • Understanding of identity management and authentication approaches and their impact on SaaS products.
  • Experience of designing solutions to be compliant with information security and data protection principles.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies
