Our Client is looking for a Wintel Engineer to undertake a long term contract onsite with their Government customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees, plans and provides support for highly complex system and database administration
- Coordinates with client management to formulate highly complex technical solutions
- Evaluates products and upgrades for appropriateness of cost and compatibility
- Oversees and implements system upgrade strategies
- Leads the design, implementation and maintenance of highly complex solutions
- Analyses, logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware matters relating to networking connectivity issues, servers, and applications
- Coordinates hardware/software installations and upgrades
- Coordinates and monitors troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning

1st Line Support Engineer
I am currently recruiting for 3x 1st Line Support Engineers for one of our biggest clients based in Manchester.
Roles:
In addition to providing our IT Helpdesk, Serviceline delivers End User Computing and Desktop support.
1st line:
- First Line provide initial customer contact for phone, e-mail and 'walk up' enquiries. Calls are logged in the 'Heat' Service management system and First Line manage these, applying 'first time fix' wherever possible.
- This element of the service operates Monday to Friday and covers two shifts operating 0700 - 1500 and 1200 - 2000.
We are looking for experience of some of the following:
Call reception, logging and management;
IT Helpdesk;
Effective Customer support;
Desktop support;
SCCM and software deployment;
Active Directory;
Exchange On-line O365 services;
