We are partnering up with one of our trusted clients to assist them with bringing on board a skilled Node.js Developer with a primary focus around Node.js, AWS Lambda functions and using Serverless framework.

The engagement will be fully remote with a very high chance to extend long term, ideally you will be available in a few weeks but prepared to wait for the best option.

We are looking for a skilled developer that has excellent commercial experience with:

  • Node.js (highly proficient)
  • AWS services including SNS, SQS, Route 53, CloudWatch / API Gateway (highly proficient)
  • Lambda Functions including Step Functions (highly proficient)
  • Microservces achitecture
  • Serverless framework

Nice to have's:

? Knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD piplelines

? Integrations experience (e.g. with Point of sale (POS) systems like Aloha and Micros, Deliveroo, Glovo or Flux.

The following is also an advantage:

? Working in an Agile framework before i.e. Scrum & Kanban

? Experience of QA/Test frameworks such as Selenium, load testing (Blazemeter), unit testing (Mocha/Chia) etc.

Senior DevOps Engineer - Contract - Outside IR35 - Fully Remote

A key client of ours within the Semiconductor industry is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join on an initial 3 month contract basis.

Requirements:

  • AWS development and design experience, including working with AWS Lambda functions
  • Experience with DynamoDB, use and performance optimisation
  • Experience of Kubernetes and Docker an advantage
  • Knowledge of Cloud web services (AWS)
  • Knowledge of RESTful web service technologies, (swagger and OpenFeign an advantage)
  • Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages (such as Python or Bash)
  • Awareness of PKI and cryptography principles
  • Node.js, Python, Linux
  • AWS Deployment tools (CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Debugging the full stack: from UI to backend including networking
  • Good familiarity with version control and build tools (Git / Gradle / Jenkins)
  • Unit testing, design and implementation
  • Comprehensive code documentation

Desirable skills:

  • Java 8+, Spring Boot are a plus.

Overview

Our client is currently seeking a Backend Developer to join their team. You will be working on a project that involves the design, build and operation of a cloud-based cross-public sector property information solution that:

  • Automates data collection from designated government databases and 3rd party sources.
  • Uses this data to create dashboards, reports and analytics using Business Intelligence and Geospatial tools.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Agile (Scrum) experience over the course of at least 6 projects (or 6 phases of a larger programme of work) from inception to deployment.
  • Experience contributing as part of a team of at least 4 developers within an Agile environment.
  • Experience designing and developing restful APIs utilising node.js with typescript.
  • Experience developing serverless services on AWS (AWS Lambda).

Desirable experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver and experience supporting test engineers in the development of automated tests.
