Web UX Designer (Remote)

I own a branding & design agency for recipe websites and am looking for a web & UX designer to translate the branding into wireframes and a well-branded layout.

As opposed to starting a mockup from scratch, you will have a library/UX Kit of "blocks" based on layouts/sections we do most often so that we can simplify the design & development process. Your job will be to apply the branding to these blocks, as well as arrange them to create the full web design.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or similar with ideally 1-2 years post-grad experience. Must be formally trained in graphic design and understand typography basics as it relates to size, contrast, and readability.
• Must have a passion for web design and the idea of translating branding into a beautiful, pixel-perfect website.
• Must have a knack for modern, upbeat, and colorful design. Many of our clients are women, therefore the design style leans more to that aesthetic (we don't do much black and white, edgy type design).
• Must be well-versed in Adobe XD and have experience creating UX libraries. Candidate must be a forward-thinker and problem solver and approach the project from a "how can I make this the easiest possible for the user" perspective.
• Ideal candidate will be familiar with accessibility and the WCAG 2.0 Guidelines.
• Must be extremely detail focused and be committed to pixel perfect design and execution.
• Candidate will act as lead designer and take initiative. The goal with creating this block system is to ultimately decrease design and development time by creating an organized system of UX elements.
• You will not be coding/developing these mocks, as this will be handled by my developer. This position will also not create the logo/branding, although I am open to making this a full-time position for the right candidate who can do both.

• Priority given to someone who is passionate about food & design! Our clients are mainly food bloggers, so having a base understanding of cooking and baking is helpful to better understand their needs.
• Must be team-focused and be willing to adapt based on feedback and design restrictions that are presented to you.

Position is a fully remote, Independent Contractor position. For the right fit, you would have 2 projects/month. Projects will paid on an agreed project fee (not hourly). Must be willing to sign IC agreement form, which includes a non-disclosure.
