Server-Side C# Developer - Real Time Risk

A top tier Investment Bank is currently seeking to hire a Server Side C# Developer to join a Front Office team that delivers business critical applications across Risk and Credit.

This is a long term programme of work which consists initially in the stabilisation of the current platform, as they migrate to new technologies. The second phase which will come into play next year and will be to introduce new set of business applications leveraging newer technologies. The successful candidate will be re-writing applications that has direct positive impact on the business.

This is a great team to work in, they are friendly, passionate, collaborative, agile with big emphasis on testing and automation.

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills and personality traits in order to be considered for this role:

Tech Skills:

• C# Server with strong experience around multithreading and high-throughput
• Any exposure to UI development is nice to have but please note that the UI work is minimal. The current UI is built in WPF but this will likely to change as they migrate to newer stack.
• Appreciation of Human-Computer Interaction
• Good knowledge with databases
• Experience working with large data sets
• Nice to have: Market Data
• Business knowledge around Risk and Credit is nice to have. Candidates from a non-banking background are encouraged to apply as well as the business knowledge can be taught.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a front office environment with ease
• Problem solver
• Passionate about software design
