Harbor Social is hiring an experience front-end web developer to join a boutique marketing agency in the Baltimore / Washington DC Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities will include designing and developing websites, site maintenance, and support. The role will focus on website redesign and migration projects, and the ideal candidate will have a solid portfolio that shows experience building and maintaining informational and e-commerce websites. You will be working with the development team to implement standard process improvements and best practices. Given the nature of our customers and projects, successful candidates will have great attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, be reliable, hard-working, and want to work as a member of growing team that invests in their employees.
The Harbor Social Web Developer will work remotely or if desired out of our historic office in the Federal Hill neighborhood in South Baltimore.
OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:
· Passionately lead all web development programs for our most important customers to specifically include the development and maintenance of Wordpress CMS sites, SEO and plug-integration
· Manage the content for our website and integrated marketing campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, web development or relevant field
· Minimum of 3 years of direct web development
· Prior experience in Wordpress, Woo Commerce, and Stripe experience is required
· Proficiency with Google Apps, MS O365, and Adobe Photoshop
· Photo, video and rich media content editing skills
· Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and responsive design
· Excellent written communication skills
· Have a desire to own web project development from start to finish
· Ability to drive to client and project sites to engage in direct development initiatives
· Ability to manage multiple tasks as necessary
· Ability to develop to a mobile-first mandate as needed
· Drive to do whatever it takes to be a member of a fast-moving team focused on client satisfaction.
