The role: Part of a DevOps team responsible for configuration, maintenance and continual improvement of the infrastructure required by the Group Product division, supporting more than 3000 end users. The team maintains server infrastructure from networks up to and including the application layer, and runs other applications in various cloud environments. You will be required to bring ideas to and work on a series of project objectives to incrementally improve the estate, while contributing also to support as required by end users.

Position Description:
Our Client is looking for a Sr Network Platform Automation Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting Kubernetes platforms in our Client's Private Cloud infrastructure. The resource will have experience with Software Defined Network and IaaS skills to support Kubernetes installation and administration. The ideal candidate will be working with other platform engineers in designing, building, and maintaining the CaaS platform (Kubernetes) and guiding the development and implementation of Cloud applications, systems, and processes. The candidate will also have experience with the deployment and orchestration of Docker containers on a Cloud platform.
Day-to-day:
Participate on a Cloud Platforms infrastructure team, enhance our Client's next-gen private cloud platforms- Cloud Foundry, Container as a Service (Docker, Kubernetes, others), on VMWare vSphere.
Work independently on a day to day monitoring and operations of cloud platforms. You will be required to develop automation using scripting languages. You will also be able to handle critical operational tasks as well as on-demand requests.
Required Skills:
Total 12+ years of experience in Network engineering and automation
2+ years of demonstrated proficiency and experience in design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes & Docker Container Orchestration infrastructure.
Strong scripting/programming skills (python, ruby, bash, powershell, etc.), coding against APIs (REST) and manipulating structured data (JSON, XML, etc.), build and CI/CD tools (Gitlab, concourse, etc.)
Cloud configuration automation (Ansible, Terraform, , etc.)
Linux administration and core services
Strong knowledge about SDN networking, load balancing, DNS solutions, ex F5, nginx, avi networks, haproxy, etc..
Demonstrate networking ingress/egress aspects on cloud, Kubernetes platforms
Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role):
