Full Remote Working - Outside IR35

IC Resources is currently working with one of the worlds leading GPU developers and they are looking for several low-level embedded and bare-metal development engineers to join them for mid-term initial engagements. They require engineers with experience of C development, preferably on Ethernet stacks, with additional experience working with Hardware at register level and preferably someone that has ran software on FPGA's or via emulators. Understanding of encryption or decryption network algorithms would be helpful. The role itself will be to develop, integrate and validate the Ethernet stack, with most scripts and RTL already in place to the relevant IEEE standards. Additional knowledge in VLAN would be a massive benefit and exposure to Linux would be helpful.

These contract positions have been determined as Outside of IR35 and my client are offering full remote working.

Joining a greenfield project with UK Defence, you will be joining an existing cross-domain project at the delivery stage of the programme.

Core duties will be:

  • Discovery and documentation of how the current data centre is connected to external our partners
  • Discovery and documentation of the Core Network and any network joining rules.
  • Develop and document a DevOps approach to building and configuring equipment e.g Ansible.

Nice to have skills and experince:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (Collaboration), and
  • Oracle SBC Configuration and Administration (proof of course completion), and
  • Oracle ECB Configuration and Administration (proof of course completion)
  • experience supporting complex Campus LAN & WAN networks based on IP cryptography.

Due to the nature of the work, applicants will need SC Clearance prior to starting work.

In Return:

  • £500 - £550pd (Outside of IR35)
  • 6 Month Initial Contract (Likely to extend)
  • Predominantly remote working, with infrequent travel to South West base location.

  • Kubernetes experience would be beneficial,
