We are looking for an experienced and motivated UX Designer to come up with the design for our brand new e-commerce frontend which will power maplin.co.uk and others.

You will be working alongside a small development team but will have sole responsibility for the design of this project. Branding guidelines/assets already exist and you will need you to apply these to an innovative mobile-first commerce UI.

As a UX Designer, you will need a strong portfolio that you can show off and experience with Adobe XD or Sketch.

The deliverables for this project will be a complete design system and a set of wireframes that our developers can use to implement the frontend.

I'm looking for a part-time designer to help with a range of tasks, designing screens for the mobile apps that are under development and the associated website to promote the app.

We're at the very start of the journey. Initially, it will be mostly UI design, but I have an understanding and appreciation of UX design and as the startup matures bringing some of this into play.

Initially, this will be a 1 day a week contract role.

Will require joining the slack channel and posting updates (daily) as you work, and engaging with the other team members.

For context, I've been working on https://graphql360.com and now building https://aspect360.co (the website isn't much to look at yet).

In the past five years we’ve sold over six million books and we want to sell hundreds of millions more so we can influence the lives of the next generation to be more curious, kind and courageous than any that has come before.

We’re looking for an experienced, senior developer to join our engineering team for 3 months with possibility to extend. You’ll be working with our in-house team to help us build an exciting new look and feel for the website, enabling us to speak to all kinds of people. We want to elevate and modernise our website, improving everything from the design system down to server side rendering and lots in-between.

We need an experienced, opinionated Javascript engineer with a UX focus who can confidently start building, and help to define the direction of the future of our React based website stack. This is an exciting project and key to our plans to scale and offer our customers wider choices.

While we need you to deliver your briefs with minimal support, you will be working alongside a small, diverse team who take pride in our craft and problem solving abilities as well as our inclusive culture.

  • You emphasise well modularised, maintainable and easy to review code
  • Appreciation of nicely designed, high-quality, well tested codebases - and ability to communicate why they’re important
  • Think deeply about the right user experience, capturing just the right amount of information at the right time

  • Deep empathy with colleagues around the whole business

Benefits

First and foremost you should join Wonderbly because of the work. We’re on a mission to inspire boundless self–belief in every child, everywhere through our beautiful personalised books.

  • The chance to work on something your friends and family will fall in love with
  • We have a flexible, hybrid working model that you can tailor to suit what works best for you. We ask that you can come to our lovely light filled Central London studio at least two days a week and then to choose what works best for them for the rest of the time
  • We love having dogs in the office (well behaved ones anyway)
