We are looking for an Power BI Developer who are lead the effort of utilizing Power BI as well as other tools such as SSAS, AAS and data flows to design, build and maintain BI models and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project Managers to determine needs and apply / customize existing technology to meet those needs.
  • Migrate existing Cognos reports to Power BI Report Server.
  • Designs and develops reporting solutions in Microsoft Power BI based on business requirements.
  • Works closely with Product Owners and data development teams to drive requirements to completion. Works closely with Power BI report users to tune and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Evaluates business requirements and processes to provide possible solutions and accurate estimates for development efforts. Assist with building Data Analytics enterprise models using Microsoft technologies including Power BI, SSAS, AAS, and data flows .
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services SSIS.
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework..
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to concisely and effectively communicate across teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Software Testing Experience
  • Experience working with various Cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Agile development and/or Kimball methodology.
  • Team player-friendly, communicative, open, honest, thoughtful, and committed.

The Information Technology Division's (ITD) primary purpose is to plan, develop, implement and support the technology systems that meet the operational needs of DST. State and Local Government Finance Division (SLGFD) we are seeking a Data Analyst to with high level data architecture experience and the ability to perform hands-on development.

Development duties include:

  • Perform data analysis and develop analytic solutions
  • Work with Data Engineers, Data Architects, to define back-end requirements for data products (aggregations, materialized views, tables – visualization)
  • Data investigation to discover correlations / trends and the ability to explain them
  • Develop frameworks and processes to analyze unstructured information
  • Assist in Azure Power BI architecture design
  • SLGFD handles the sale and delivery of all State and local debt and monitors the repayment of State and local government debt. Staff counsel and assist local governments in determining the feasibility of projects, the size of the financing and the most expedient form of financing.
  • SLGFD is automating many manual processes and consolidating data. Mining models, dashboards and additional reporting needs will access structured and unstructured data from disparate sources.
  • The candidate is required to be proficient with MS SQL Server 2016, MS Power BI, SSRS, R, MS Visual Studio, and Excel.
  • Additional skills in Azure Web Apps, DevOps , Python, are desired.
  • The candidate is required to have the ability to interact and serve as a technical resource to technicians and analysts.
