CanCan is a reusables scheme aimed at removing the friction from borrowing of reusable food and drink containers like coffee cups. Our mission is to make reusables as convenient as single-use, without the impact on the planet.
CanCan is looking for a lead full-stack developer to help them continue to develop the CanCan concept from the current live trials to a scalable model. You'll be joining a vibrant team that is passionate about reducing waste through the adoption of circular business models. The previous developer will be available to help answer questions.
The day-to-day duties will be split between:
- Working with stakeholders to plan and develop new features for the CanCan platform
- Improvement of our backoffice admin tools
- Support with our live deployment
Our modern tech stack has been developed over the past year and consists of:
- Django (django admin, GraphQL)
- React Native
- Postgres
- Deployed on Heroku
- Metabase for BI
- Stripe for customer charges
The ideal developer will have a wealth of experience in developing with a similar tech stack and is will be at home with both high-level planning and hands-on coding.
CanCan are based at the Paintworks in Bristol and would encourage regular on-site meetings.
2.5 days per week, 3-month contract with scope to extend. Outside of IR35.
