Duration: 1 Year contract Note: SRE/DevOps candidates with good Automation, Networking, Monitoring and Troubleshooting skills.Mandatory Skills
  • Coding - ( Python /GoLang/ JAVA / Bash)
  • Scripting and automation: Python, Go, etc.
  • Very good troubleshooting (network & systems)
  • Excellent monitoring: Tools such as Splunk, ELK, SumoLogic, Prometheus, Nagios, Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, etc.
  • Networking (should be able to understand and triage performance, latency, routing, LB issues)
  • Good Linux knowledge
  • Good attitude, communication & collaboration
  • Support model in 24x7 coverage and on-call
  • Preferred Tools/Functions
  • DevOps/SRE tools and methodology: Git, Ansible, Saltstack, Terraform
  • CI/CD deployments: Jenkins pipelines, Spinnaker
  • Container technologies: Docker & Kubernetes
  • Ability to code and deploy in Python and GoLang
  • Database knowledge: NoSQL & SQL
  • Large scale production environment support experience
  • Ability to self-learn and work independently on project deliverables

    Senior DevOps Engineer required for an initial 6-month contract. Please note this role will begin remote working with the plan to attend client site in Crawley, West Sussex once restrictions lift.

    Due to the secure nature of our client's project, the successful candidate must either hold valid SC Clearance or be willing to undergo prior to the commencement of the project.

    You will be joining an existing DevOps team where the primary focus is on implementing and supporting new tools and infrastructure used for the development engineering environment.

    You will be responsible to the Software DevOps Functional Lead. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with several software engineering teams to deploy and operate systems. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. In addition, troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test and production environments.

    DevOps Engineer Skills/Experience include:

    Experience of the full software development lifecycle, including:

  • Agile software development
    DevOps processes, principles & practices
  • Software Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD) ways of working
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure
  • Classic Infrastructure (Linux & Windows, Server & Desktop)
  • Virtualization Basics (VMware, Hyper-V or RHEV)
  • Networking Basics (LAN, WAN, MAC, DNS, HTTP, SSH, FTP)
  • Experience in any of the following DevOps Toolchain & Practices:

  • Source Code Management (Subversion/Git & BitBucket)
  • Bug Management System (JIRA)
  • Collaborative Documentation System (Confluence)
  • Build and CI (Jenkins, Incredibuild & Maven)
  • Static/Dynamic Analysis (ccpCheck, jUnit or pytest, SonarCube, Klockwork or VectorCast)
  • Artifacts Management (Nexus & Artifactory)
  • Configuration Management (Puppet or Ansible)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Ansible)
  • Configuration as Code (Teraform, Puppet or Ansible)
  • Monitoring and Reporting (Nagios, Hygeia,)
  • Experience in Programming techniques

  • Advanced Scripting (Python, Perl or Ruby)
