Qualifications:
· We need software engineers that:
o Have an intense passion for innovating and crafting clean code
o Have 2-3 years of professional experience with Java/.NET and common frameworks
o Can work advanced database magic with relational and NoSQL databases

Position: Network Engineer
Location: Downtown NYC or possibly Florham Park, NJ after COVID-19, till the time it will be Remote
Duration: 6+ Months Contract Possibly Contract-to-Hire

Description
The Contract Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for the firm's network environment servicing approximately 1,800 end-users across 41 locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise with the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and installation/configuration of the firm's network and telecom infrastructure. The candidate must have the ability to design and engineer next generation network and telecom technology. The candidate must possess the ability to participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures required to achieve high availability, optimal performance, and future technology thought to leadership. The Contract Network Engineer should have a good working knowledge of project management methods and processes and a proven history of effective communication skills at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
7+ years providing level two and three network support and engineering
Expert level proficiency, hands-on expertise managing/upgrading/securing mid-to-large complex networking environments not limited to Cisco
3+ years' experience with ACI, SDN, SDWAN and NAC
5+ years' experience with VPN/IPSEC, Citrix Netscaler gateway is a plus
5+ years' experience with Network security appliance such as Cisco Firepower and/or Cloud based SASE
3+ years' working with load balancing, application delivery controllers (i.e. Citrix Netscaler). Knowledge in scripting, a plus.
3+ years' experience with Cisco CUCM and CCX.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
BS Degree in Computer Science or proven equivalent work experience
Flexibility to work extended hours, nights, weekends and participate in a regular on-call rotation
A demonstrated ability to establish, follow, and document technology builds, best practices, and standards
Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
Cisco CCNP Certified & ITIL Certified, a plus
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the firms Cisco-driven infrastructure lifecycle, including dependent and integrated technologies
Coordinate with peer on networking technologies such as Wireless, ISE, SDWAN and collaboration technologies like CUCM, CCX, Jabber, Webex, and Zoom.
Responsible for managing, deploying, supporting Site-to-Site VPNs utilizing Cisco Firepower and Cisco routing platforms
Strong capacity planning and performance monitoring of enterprise network and telecom infrastructure to determine overall health
Work closely with vendors to ensure resolution has been met in timely manner
