Principle Responsibilities

·         Author and/or review Technical design and program specification artefacts based on Functional designs, Technical requirements.

·         Design and/or review the configure CAMS Technical PCDs to support technical requirements and processing

·         Development of executable components in support of Technical designs, or to remedy incidents and/or defects. This includes, but is not exclusive to PCDs, programs, JCL/Procs, etc

·         Develop and/or review unit test plans, test scenarios, and cases to ensure the quality and accuracy of enhancements or changes to the application and/or application interfaces

·         Support Test Planning, execution, defect Triage, analysis, and defect resolution

·         Support release and implementation planning and execution by completing, or contributing to the completion, or implementation artefacts.  Determining Live proving, monitoring, and verification procedures (from a Technical respective)

·         Analyse production incidents identifying and isolate the area at fault, and, working with resolve the defect (programmatically or other)

·         Provide direction and guidance to other Technicians as appropriate

·         Conducted code reviews and unit test result reviews, as appropriate

·         Provide support to Bank in resolving issues and queries which arise from usage of the Supplier Software

·         Actively support the transfer of CAMS II knowledge to Bank staff during the normal course of their work

  • Ensure the proper encoding and Coded Character Set identification code is used depending on the country language and to handle special characters and native data.

  • Develop the flow as designed using the Message definitions developed and the nodes needed like Transferring the File through FTP, HTTP, Web Services.
  • Develop the logic inside the nodes used for the flow, meeting the transformations and routing needed in between and changing the input and output data as required.
  • Develop the Stored Procedures needed for making the database calls, and database inserts/updates required part of the logic (Database can be relational or DB2).
  • Develop the java classes, and the esql (Message Broker Scripting language) to Java calls needed along with standard procedures.
  • Develop the Error Handling, Logging, and monitoring scenarios needed depending on the requirements.
  • Develop Persistent and transaction analysis logic.
  • Develop the Scripts for Autosys (Scheduling software), and other ways of triggering the flows both manually and automatically.

Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards.

Conducts highly complex work critical to the organization. Works with other IT technical teams and Business users to understand requirements, and recommend & implement solutions. Works with moderate supervision with latitude for independent judgment. Assist less experienced peers by providing technical guidance. Requires advanced skill sets and developing proficiency within discipline. Typically requires 6 - 9 years' experience or equivalent education.

Ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:
• Strong skills in data warehousing process design, development, performance & tuning using the Informatica data warehousing tool suite
• Excellent skills in the architecture of data warehouse and data integration strategies and solutions
• Demonstrated skills in establishing data warehouse best practice standards
• Excellent knowledge and programming in relational data base technologies; e.g. Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
• Strong skills working with relational and dimensional data models
• Strong skills working with slowly changing dimensions
• Strong data management and data analysis using SQL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of meetings with customers and technical staff
• Knowledge and skills in the project development life cycle process (i.e., planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, support)
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in requirements gathering
• Effective interpersonal relations skills, ability to effectively collaborate with others and work as part of a team
• Skills in navigating a large organization in order to accomplish results
• Ability to initiate and follow through on complex projects of both short and long term duration
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

3. The selected candidate will be required to sign exhibit B (attached) as part of the onboarding process. Candidate will also be required to complete any security training as directed by the division, department, or agency.
4. The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check.
5. This position is budgeted for 1960 hours annually. Hours will be prorated the first year based on start date.
6. DCF does not sponsor work visas, either at the time of hire or at any later date
7. In coordination with the “Safer At Home” guidelines, contracted staff will work with their manger to access work remotely as needed temporarily. However, contract staff will be required to return to the home office for regular business hours as restrictions allow.
8. Contract staff may be required to provide personal equipment for remote work while “Safer At Home” guidelines are in effect.
9. Selected candidate must provide copies of any/all certifications as part of the hiring process.
