Power BI Developer
We are looking for a Power BI Developer / Data Analyst to work for a Government client located in Washington, District of Columbia (fully remote option available). The candidate will conduct and establish data analysis and reporting in Microsoft Power BI. The candidate must demonstrate data visualization proficiency, Data Mapping, Data extraction, and Data Integrations. The candidate must be proficient in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or R and perform ETL, Data Load, and SQL Queries. The individual must be proficient in data solutions using Dynamics 365, and Azure Data products and services.

• Location: Fully Remote or Washington, DC

Role and Responsibilities

• Support the customer by developing solutions that support the collection of data from various sources such as CSV and Excel files that needs to be transferred to Power BI Visualization reports.
• Assist in generating various management and administrative reports based on the gathered data.
• Demonstrate various visualization capabilities to measure the effectiveness of business operations.
• Present analyzed data via tools such as heat-maps, charts, trendline, and location-based maps visualizations.
• Create and use Power BI templates and enhance reporting templates.
• Enhance reporting mechanism for better data analytics.
• Must be able to implement data analytics and automation of the reporting process
• Build and extend solutions to solve business problems and technical challenges using combinations of Power BI, Microsoft PowerApps, Dynamics/CRM, Flow, custom development, and data integrations on the platform
• Must be able to identify the KPI based on the data from various applications like Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Microsoft Dataverse (CDS), Power BI, and Azure Data Sources.
• Must have the ability to create custom code using programs not limited to Javascript, Open Source tools, Visual Studio, R, Python, and data mapping tools.
• Must be able to partner with internal users to gain a thorough understanding of their business processes.
• Must be able to develop scripts for detecting data discrepancies and validating data corrections.
• Support in analyzing large data sets to identify actionable insights.
• Assisting with large-scale data collection efforts across open data sources, customer proprietary data sources, and external data vendors.
• Directly assist the team with Azure Database design, implementation, support, and management.
• Develop and maintain workflow charts and diagrams, business and functional requirements documents, and progress reports to monitor tasks.
• Must be able to conduct root cause analysis and understand the business objectives and mission of the customers and their current pain-points to provide solution for the business analytics needs.

Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Services (MIS) or equivalent required.
• Must have 5+ years of experience as a Data/Systems Analyst in the Information Technology field.
• Direct experience of 3+ years in Cloud platform technologies such as Microsoft Azure is required.
• Must have 3+ years of experience as SME in developing Power Platform solutions, PowerApps and Flow Development.
• Must have 3+ years of experience as SME in developing Power BI.
• Must have experience and proven success in Azure database design, support, and management.
• Proficient in any of the programming languages (C#, Python, Java, or R).
• Ability to perform ETL, Data Load, and SQL Queries
• Proficient in using Azure Data Lake, Azure data products, and services.
• Experience in working within Agile / Scrum teams is preferred.
• Experience with JavaScript event controls is a plus.
• Certification in Microsoft Power BI and other visualizations tools is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
