WordPress Developer (Remote)

The role of wordpress developer at Catena US will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of all client facing websites and applications. This includes (but not limited to) front-end and back-end development, UX layout and design, server side administration, and regular reporting to the tech lead, management team, and site runners. *

Qualifications*

The candidate for this role must possess expert level knowledge in front-end and back-end technologies. He/She must be a self starter and have the ability to manage multiple projects independently, while maintaining high quality output. Constant communication with the tech lead and other team members is vital.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 5+ years experience with the following front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, JSON
• Minimum 5+ years experience in the following back-end technologies/languages: PHP, MySQL
• Candidate must have a deep understanding of Wordpress development, including custom theming, plugin development, site optimization, best practices, and current trends.
• He/She must be able to work independently and support all technical needs outlined by the Catena US team
• Having a design eye is a big plus. Experience with design-related software (photoshop, illustrator) will put this candidate at the top of the list.
• Strong communication skills both verbally and written, to convey technical challenges and solutions to the entire team
• Experience with project management software and other development-related programs and tools

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure that all Catena US web properties are up and running optimally, and without bugs or downtime.
• Assist all team members with technical support and suggested site enhancements across multiple project management channels (email, slack, basecamp etc..)
• Pursue the growth and improvement of all websites using his/her own expertise, as well as seek out new solutions and technical skills
• Maintain regular exposure to business stakeholders and management, as well as the authority and scope to apply his/her expertise to technical problems.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge across the following tech stack: PHP, Javascript, Wordpress, CSS, HTML, JSON, MySQL, Apache
• Assist and provide consulting in other technical areas such as SEO, analytics/tracking, online marketing campaigns, and site security.

Salary: $40.00 to $50.00 /hour
