WordPress Developer (Remote)

The Contingent Plan is actively recruiting a Word Press developer to assist in its CMS projects for clients. This is a fully remote position with the need to meet by phone periodically during business hours. Compensation is competitive and depends on experience.

Responsibilities.

• Actively work on WordPress and other CMS websites.
• Apply knowledge of plugins, animation, and recent releases to optimize client sites.
• Takes a project from idea to completion.
• Interact with clients directly by phone or email as needed to obtain clarifications.
• Leverage skill in modern front-end development: HTML, CSS, Responsible Web Design, Performance Optimization, and Accessibility
• Capable of writing custom WordPress plugins
• Work collaboratively with the client and colleagues at every step of the project

Requirements.

• At least 1 year of prior experience building, developing, or improving WordPress sites.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Capable of adapting to evolving aesthteics and managing deadlines.
• Reliable with ability to contibute direct feedback to clients and colleagues to facilitate the best work product under the provided budgets and timelines.
• Skilled in conveying technical information to non-technical people with a results oriented focus.
• Available as needed for client calls between 8 - 5 CDT with prior notice
• Demonstrated ability to work remotely and to remain highly collaborative in the process
• Provide samples to prior work in your submission for review. These links can be included in your resume, cover letter, or other submission. No candidates will be considered without provision of at least 1 work sample.
