Web Developer, Programmer/Analyst
Summary: Because of continued success and new contract awards, we seek a full-stack developer to join our very busy Application Development Team. As part of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle including documentation, development, testing, debugging, and deployment. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and updating our virtualized Windows server farm that run our web offerings. Responsibilities also include addressing technical issues and sourcing equipment within the company itself. You will often work in small cross-functional teams within our client and occasionally interact directly with clients. Responsibilities:
Communicate with developers and research professionals to create, extend, and support high-quality and performancedata-driven web applications as part of a team
Manage tasks for completion within critical timelines
Create, maintain, and deploy high-quality, testable code across multiple projects and clients
Configure, maintain, and update virtual Windows private cloud
Address technical requirements and issues within the company, such as laptop setup and phone system updates
Perform other job-related duties as required
Required Skills:
Experience using C# (preferably with ASP.NET MVC4) within a software vendor environment
Experience with database design and analytics (preferably MS SQL Server and T-SQL)
Proficiency in client-side page construction (HTML, JS, CSS)
Ability to interpret data models, technical processes, and database structures
Ability to develop process and technical documentation from existing systems
Ability to work and debug within existing systems
Demonstration of a systematic and analytical approach with good creative problem-solving skills
Demonstration of a working knowledge of design patterns and common coding pitfalls
Demonstration of initiative and enthusiasm with excellent communication and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree
Other Desired Qualities:
Ability to work independently, often one-on-one with non-technical audiences, to write software requirements and produce conceptual/functional designs
Strong commitment to code quality, including experience with QA disciplines and test-driven development
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET MVC4, and web services
Experience with Data Abstraction Layers, such as SubSonic or Entity Framework and LINQ
Experience with database and query optimization, especially as found in MSSQL environments
Production environment experience with Windows Server and IIS
Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service attitude
Ability to support the wider team and mentor any junior staff members
