Web Developer (Remote)

Yellow Lion Media specializes in web design & development, OOH design & deployment, and branding & SEO strategy. Our clients range from the NYCFC to NYU to LVMH, as well as entrepreneurial start-ups. We serve several business sectors and work with an array of platforms but especially WordPress and Shopify. Qualifications

• Experience with front-end languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with libraries like jQuery and AJAX
• Experience with PHP
• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL
• Experience setting up and deploying to various development environments
• Experience with version control systems
• Experience working with at least one of the following platforms: WordPress, Shopify, Magento
• Ability to communicate technical concepts with team members and clients

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to develop web solutions
• Engage in weekly/semi-weekly meetings to follow-up with clients
• Respond to emails in a timely manner
• Manage all aspects of the development cycle
• Write well designed and efficient code
• Work closely with web designer to implement designs

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SEO best practices
• Experience with NPM and Node.js
• Experience in eCommerce
• Experience with APIs
• Web app development experience

Work Environment:

We want you to feel like a part of a team but also be independent. We are flexible in terms of when you would like to come into work but would prefer you come into the office 3 times a week, initially.

Opportunity Timeline:

We are initially looking for someone to work with us for 4 months. Depending on the quality of your work and relationship with the team, we would also be open to discussing long-term employment and salary increases by the end of the 4-month contract.
