Web Designer (Remote)

Web Designer
The Web Designer is an independent contractor who will work remotely with the
Marketing Operations Team to create and maintain all of the organization’s
websites. The Web designer will assist in designing the web page layout,
determining technical requirements needed for improvements, provide updates
to the websites, create backup files, monitoring SEO and all other website
related tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, overall navigation flow, layout of
specific pages, and creation of individual graphic elements and updating sites
as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• WordPress theme and development implementation
• Familiar with domain hosting’s such as network solutions
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS
• Maintain/update current WordPress sites
• Work and customize WordPress plugins
• Understanding of SEO current and best standards
• Experience with SSL
• Ability to create visually appealing aesthetics
• Able to defend design decisions while remaining open to constructive

feedback

• Stay up-to-date on web design trends; be comfortable suggesting new

and different solutions

• Daily Website Maintenance
• Open communication is a must
• Ability to attend marketing meeting when necessary (via google

hangouts)

• Complete all other web design projects as assigned

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional web design experience required;
• Online portfolio required to demonstrate creative and technical skills;

Work Schedule: Based on work assigned.
Pay: $16.00 Per Hour
