UX/UI Designer (Remote)

Safe Health Systems, Inc. is developing a ground-breaking Connected Diagnostics platform in partnership with Mayo Clinic and Columbia University, and looking for experienced healthcare practice administrators who enjoy taking on complex problems and solving them in a fast-paced start up environment. Ideal candidate will be able to help build a virtual care provider practice from the ground up.

Position Description:

We’re looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our fast-paced health technology startup. As a UX/UI designer, you must have a strong understanding of visual design, user research, and mobile and web design best practices. Prior experience in the health industry is a plus!

This position requires excellent communication skills, strong design skills, a self-starting attitude, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Position Requirements:

• Lead and contribute design concepts across product and marketing teams
• Deliver high-quality, multi-platform designs in-line with business goals
• Create production-ready UX/UI mockups and prototypes ready for implementation (for both mobile and web products)
• Devise creative solutions to challenging UX problems
• Collaborate across teams to review and ensure difficult UX features can be executed accurately against design concepts

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in human-centered design, user experience, design communication, or related field or work experience as a designer
• 2+ years of professional UX/UI design experience
• Experience designing user-friendly websites and mobile applications
• Deep knowledge of digital design techniques and tools, including typography, layouts, and responsive design
• Strong track record for bringing exceptionally well-designed technology-based products to market
• Consistent track record for delivering on commitments with minimal supervision
• Ability to thrive and effectively communicate in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills
• Proficient at one or more design applications, including Sketch
• Prior experience designing healthcare-related software (preferred)
