UX/UI Designer for WordPress (Remote)

On a daily basis, the Web Developer is responsible for conceptualizing, implementing, and enhancing our clients website’s, and landing page initiatives, as well as creating visual elements aligned with company branding.

The Web Designer/Developer collaborates closely with the team to ensure successful implementation.

General Summary of the Role: A key function of the Web Designer/Developer role is to create the look, layout, and features of our clients website(s), landing pages and execute the designs with optimal coding. Our website services include; service provider websites to e-Commerce sites. This position must have a lot of knowledge with e-commerce website building.

It is critical for candidates to have an excellent understanding of graphic design, UI/UX design, responsive/mobile designs and front-end coding. The designer will be expected to apply best design principles, UI/UX practices and current trends to their work.

Accountability:

  • Create website designs and/or enhancements and modifications based on the clients goals and objectives.
  • Developing HTML/CSS/JavaScript code to build new website pages, landing pages, and CMS templates, as well as enhancing and/or refreshing existing assets.
  • Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps and wireframes.
  • Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
  • Ensure that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design (responsive web design).
  • Demonstrate and continue developing a high level of technical expertise including, but not limited to, new coding techniques and front-end development practices.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all software used and stay informed of current and emerging web technologies and products through continuing education, reading, and practice.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Heavily experienced in Visual/Web/UX Design, or similar or have design experience with an agency or client-side creative team.
  • 3-5 years of related job experience, agency or client-side.
  • Proficiency in standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, InVision, etc.
  • Proficiency in and a high-level understanding of front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent understanding of web and mobile standards, including responsive design and usability.
  • High-level understanding of content management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously
  • Excellent visual design skills.
  • Creative and open to new ideas.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to evaluate new and evolving website technologies.
  • Ability to lead others.
  • A portfolio of previous work must be presented during the interview process

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
